3th and 4th March 2016- Busy weekend in London!

Just back from a busy weekend in London. On Thursday night I went for the first time to the Jamboree club in Limehouse. Great energy and a very warm welcome. There I met some friends who I know from Italy, including Krystal, Elisabetta and Judy. It’s always cool to meet people you know in a different country. I also got to sing a number with the band , headed by the very talented Ewan Bleach.
For Friday night, Steven Coombe , band leader with the Shirt Tail Stompers , invited me on his gig in the King’s Head Theatre Pub in Islington. I was delighted. My first full gig in the UK ! I hooked up with friends Paul and Tara and saw Michela, people I hadn’t seen for ages.
As a first impression of the London classic jazz scene, I can say that the spirit is the right one,  the musicianship of a very high standard, and the welcome very very warm… 🙂

Besides, London, what a cool city!
