Delighted to announce a unique and special Swing event on Sunday, 26 February 2017 in the afternoon, at Spirit de Milan to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first Jazz record used for commercial purposes.

On the 26 February 1917, 100 years ago exactly to the day, the songs “Dixieland Jass Band One-Step” (A side) and “Livery Stable Blues” (B-side) from the Original Dixieland Jazz Band were recorded for the Victor Talking Machine Company label. The success of this record was instrumental in bringing jazz to everyone in the early years of this wonderful music genre.

To celebrate this historic day, Jude’s Lindy Swing 5 will fill Milan with groove and pulse on the afternoon of Sunday 26th February at Spirit de Milan.
We can’t wait to bring you on a journey of pure emotion. We can’t wait to have you dancing to our notes from the beautiful jazz music of the 20s and 30s….
